Show HURRICANE Hurricane, July 2S. Pioneer day celebration began with a street parade par-ade in the morning after which the people met in the auditorium where a program was rendered by the smaller children. In the afternoon there were racing contests, etc. Most of the people went to Virgin to witness a ball game between Virgin and Hurricane teams. Word was received here last week that Mrs. Addie Crepps was severely injured while going on Cedar mountains moun-tains and is now in the hosnital at Cedar City. The second swarm of Bee Hive girls left today for a trip to Grand canyon, some of the mothers chaperoning chap-eroning them. Frank Lee and family have moved in from the sawmill at Buckskin where they have been working this summer. Morris Naegle was quite badly injured in-jured in the ball game at Virgin July 2 4, but is getting along nicely. William Spendlove and son William Wil-liam are home from the sheep herd for a few days' visit. The Hurricane State Bank has been moved into the new building on Main street. Mrs. Mattie Ruesch is home again after having been gone for some weeks. Mrs. Alice Isom has been very poorly the past two weeks. |
