Show VIRGIN Virgin, July 28. A large number from the surrounding towns, especially espec-ially Hurricane were gathered here on the afternoon of the 24th to "take in" the base ball game between Hurricane Hur-ricane and Virgin teams. It was a fine game, the score being 10 to 8 in favor of Hurricane. Bishop and Mrs. Sylvester Earl and children returned yesterday from Cedar Citv where thev had been to spend the 24th and visit at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Marker. Mrs. Daniel W. Matthews was visited Friday morning by her brother broth-er Cyrus Gifford and wife and her sister, Mrs. Ross Magee, who were returning to St. George after a visit to Springdale. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wilson and children and Richard Rawlings of California are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wilson of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Evon Charlesworth and children spent a few days' here this week from Marysvale visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Charles Allsop joined her husband this week at Salt Lake City, where he is transacting business. Mrs. DeLon Bradshaw of Hurricane Hurri-cane has been a visitor at the Henry Cornelius home since July 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Lee are spending spend-ing some time at their Kolob ranch. Delbert Flanigan is home from Kanab where he has been working. Pat Holohan has returned from a business trip to Salt Lake City. |
