To Register All Children Up To 18 Years of Age In County The local Parent-Teacher associations associ-ations of the county have been asked by the State and National War Defense Councils to organize and register all children up to the age of 18. It will be necessary for some person to call at every home where there are children under this age and get the following fol-lowing information: Father's and mother's name; telephone number and address; closest other kin in other community; child's name, date of birth, school attending; birth marks, scars or other marks of identification. These completed forms are to be filed locally and the name of the keeper of records rec-ords registered with the State P.-T. A. office. Those in charge think it very essential that preparation be made ahead in case of any war disaster. Better - be - prepared ' than sorry afterward is their slogan. The P.-T. A. are also asked to organize organ-ize the community with block mothers to facilitate this work and also to assist air raid wardens and other necessary emergency measures. It is hoped that other communities will organize org-anize and put over this activity. |
