Show Discrepancies Cleared UpByODT The Office of Defense Transportation Transpor-tation is attempting to clear up some of the discrepancies which have occurred in the issuance of Certificates of War Necessity for truck owners by having representatives represent-atives placed in key areas during the part of January to discuss these discrepancies with commercial com-mercial motor vehicle operators and owners. Farm operators should contact the U. S. Department of Agriculture Agri-culture county farm transportation transporta-tion committee at the local county agent's office and file an appeal before the last of January. All commercial vehicle owners, or operators who are not listed as farmers, should file their appeal ap-peal at Cedar City during the week of January 25 to Jan. 30. Arnold S. Johnson from the state office of ODT will be at Cedar City during the' week mentioned above to act on these appeals. Mr. Johnson would like to meet with each individual making such an appeal and anyone interested should get in touch with their local war price and rationing board to make arrangements for combined transportation to Cedar City. Sugar stamp No. 10 will still be good for three pounds of sugar until Jan. 31st. Stamp No. 28 will be valid for one pound of coffe until Feb. 7th. Many farmers still call in at the war price and rationing board for priority to purchase farm machinery ma-chinery and equipment and fencing. fenc-ing. This should be handled through the United States Department De-partment of Agriculture county war boards. |
