Show Mail Change Beginning on Wednesday, Sept 23rd, the schedule for the Enterprise mail has been officially changed, chang-ed, announces Postmaster William Brooks. Details of the change were not available in time for printing in last week's News. Under the new schedule sched-ule the mail driver will be permitted to wait over as late as 11 a. m., at Modena for the incoming train-borne mail. This leeway has been granted because of the frequent delays of trains due to war time requirements. Under the past schedule the mail occasionally failed fail-ed to make connections. The trains due at 8 a. ni., are often delayed two hours or more. This change of schedule (Continued on page five) Enterprise Mail Change (Continued from first page) indicates the possibility of the mail arriving in St. George as late as 2:30 p.m., allowing f0Ur hours for transit, and will be due to leave St. George 30 minutes after arrival, which may be be-I be-I tween the hours of 1 and 3 p. m. |
