Show Everything Reported Ready For Biq 3-Hiqht Dixie Round-Up f 'I MISS BARBARA Me.MULLIN" Miss Barbara McMuIlin, Of Leeds, Wins Rodeo Queen Honors Everything is in readiness but the sounding of the gong to start off the St. George Lions Eleventh Annual Dixie Round-Up, reports Wm. Monday evening marked the closing street dance, when Miss Barbara McMuIlin, the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence McMuIlin of Leeds, was officially of-ficially announced Queen of the Round-Up, with Miss Coririne Es-plin, Es-plin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Esplin, and Miss Lola Pymm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Pymm, as attendants. At this dance also, winners of an unique contest conducted by Joe Simmons was announced. Miss Melva Rene Woodard guessed nearest accurate the number of dimes and dollars in a shell, and received a cash prize of $5.00. The balance, totaling S15, was given to the Round-Up Queen to assist with the purchase of her cowboy attire for the Rodeo. Tickets for the Round-Up go on sale this week-end, announces Ray Whipple, chairman. The purchasing purchas-ing places are given elsewhere in the News in the Lions' Round-Up Ad. The grounds are being put into first class condition and the S825 added money for events is ; drawing the keen interest of many ! contestants and, "all in all it looks like the biggest Dixie Round-Up Round-Up to date," says E. N. (Dick) Hammer, general chairman. The Chet Gilbert Sound System from Las Vegas has been engaged and Hughie Hughes will be here again as the clown. Both the Elks ; and Lions of Las Vegas are sending send-ing large delegations, and other surrounding eities and counties will be represented. The Las Vegas Heldorado Queen will attend, and invitations have been issued to Panguitch and Hurricane Queens to be guests. The program book is on the press and will be released re-leased shortly. Response of entries for the parades pa-rades of all three days is very encouraging, says D. P. Spencer, parade chairman. "It's really your show, folks," says Mr. Spencer. "Although the Lions put it on, it is still your show and is really worth a lot to St. George. Don't let the lack of a little material get you down. Remember, every other guy is in the same boat. Make your floats and costumes clever but simple. Use your ingenuity." in-genuity."
