Show LaVERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Mrs. Rosalba Fuller and her group of first-year Zion boys and girls of the Primary organization entertained enter-tained their mothers, the members mem-bers of the bishopric and . their wives and the ward Primary presidency presi-dency last Wednesday evening. The event was in celebration of their 8th birthday anniversary, when they are privileged to be baptized as members of the L-D.S. church. Special recognition recogni-tion was given Donna Sanders, who had a perfect attehdance record rec-ord for the year, and to Edward and Deon Gubler, whose records showed only one absent mark. Mrs. Pauline Christensen has been visiting in LaVerkin since the close of school. The LaVerkin D. U. P. camp sponsored a fund-gathering program pro-gram last week commemorating the birthday anniversary of President Presi-dent Brigham Young. Dancing a "mock court" furnished the entertainment. Pies and light ;uncnes were sold and a quilt going go-ing to LaRue Stratton. Proceeds trom the dance are to be used 45 the camp's contribution to the erection of the D. U. P. Memorial building in Salt Lake City. Mrs Thompson, who has been their guest for the past week in Cedar City, came home with them. Mrs Reta Gubler, who underwent under-went major surgery recently, is reported improving. The Blue Bird and Sea Gull girls of the LaVerkin Primary entertained their mothers Tuesday Tues-day evening. The program presented pre-sented by the girls, included a play, songs and games. |
