Show ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF 1939 REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE, UTAH. BY ADDING TO SAID CHAPTER, SECTION 278-A, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON PER-SON INDIVIDUAL, OR CORPORATION COR-PORATION TO GIVE OR SELL INTOXICATING LIQUORS TO MINORS, SECTION 278-B, MAKING MAK-ING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY MINOR TO HAVE INTOXICATING INTOXICAT-ING LIQUOR IN HIS OR HER POSSESSION WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE, UTAH. Section 278-A. That it shall be unlawful for any person, individual, indi-vidual, or corporation to give or sell to a Minor any intoxicating liquors within the corporate limits of the City of St. George, Utah. Any person, individual, or corporation corpor-ation violating the provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and subject sub-ject to a fine of not more than $299.00 dollars, or imprisonment in the City Jail for not more than three months, or both such fine and imprisonment. Section 278-B. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for any Minor to have in his or her possession any intoxicating intoxi-cating liquors within the corporate corpor-ate limits of : the City of St. George, Utah. Any person violating vio-lating the provisions of this Ordinance Ordi-nance will be subject to a fine of not more than $299.00 dollars or imprisonment in the City Jail of not more than three months, or both such fine and imprisonment. imprison-ment. It is hereby declared that in order to protect the people's health and safety in the City of St. George, it is necessary for this Ordinance to become effective immediately im-mediately and it is therefore declared de-clared to be effective on the day of its publication in the Washington Wash-ington County News, to-wit: The 4th day of May, 1944.
