Show Dixie Plays Cedar In Final Game of Season At Cedar Friday The Dixie six-man football team will meet the Redmen at Cedar City tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 in the last league game of the season. If the Flyers can get by this one, the Region Six championship cham-pionship will be theirs. Cedar City has lost but one game, the opening one of the season sea-son to Hurricane. The boys from the north could place the league leadership in a three-way tie if they could trip Dixie. Hurricane would be the third of the trio in such a case. The dope, however, favors Coach Watts' boys to finish the season undefeated. Dixie triumphed over Beaver last Friday 52-6. The game was played at Beaver. Coach Watts' first string made three touchdowns the first quarter and then turned over the job to the reserves. Beaver came back to score, but the bench warmers found themselves, and the game was over less than three minutes after the start of the second half. No other games were reported for last Friday, except that Paro-wan Paro-wan forfeited to Hurricane. Next week Hurricane goes to Hinckley, Cedar City to Milford and Parowan to Beaver to wind up the league season. |
