Show Special Committee To Review Plans for Fathers-Sons Banquet The progress of plans for the annual an-nual Fathers-Sons banquet will be reported tonight at a special meeting of the central committee. The date has been set for Thursday night, February 10th, and tickets are already on sale at the three local drug stores. The committee is trying out a new plan of serving this year. The plate lunch idea will be used, with each one serving himself as he comes to the affair. It is felt that by using this plan more People can be served, and this without loss of quality as far as the lunch is concerned. The plan is quite in keeping with war conditions, con-ditions, and will add to the informality in-formality of the occasion, the committee feels. A high-class program is being (Continued on page five) Fathers-Sons Banquet (Continued from first page) prepared, and all groups in the community will participate. The local scout committee, with W. W. McArthur as chairman, is directly in charge of the banquet. Another feature of the Scout Anniversary week, of which the banquet is a part, is the scout circus scheduled for Tuesday night, Feb. 8th. The scout units are now working on the various competitive events to be used for this program, and a good time is promised those who attend. Court of Review Scouts are reminded that the next Court of Review will be next Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the Institute building. Awards earned will presented at the Fathers-Sons banquet. |
