Show Large Audience Attends Frank YanCott Concert By LUCILE C. FISH Music Director Zion Park M. I. A. HURRICANE, Utah. A large appreciative audience enjoyed a splendid concert given by Frank VanCott of Cedar City and assisting assist-ing artists, the evening of Jan. 16th at the Hurricane high school building. The concert, which was sponsored by the Zion Park stake M. I. A. was composed of selections selec-tions and stories of the five great masters of music: Schubert, Tschaikowaky, , Mendelsohn, Beethoven Beet-hoven and Grieg, whose music and lives are to be studied in M. I. A. assembly programs during January, Janu-ary, February and March. The artists assisting Mr. VanCott Van-Cott were: Mrs. Melba Sergent, pianist ; Mrs. Hilda Sievert, contralto; con-tralto; and Fred Lewis, trumpet soloist, all of Cedar City; and Miss Colleen Swindlehurst, pianist, pian-ist, of Beaver. The splendid music and artistry of the entertainers will long be appreciated and remembered re-membered by those who listened. Following the concert the M.I.A. stake board and their partners, with the visiting artists as guests of honor, enjoyed a buffet supper. |
