Show Mrs. Ward Esplin and Mrs. Lee J. Esplin united as hostesses at the latter's home last Thursday Thurs-day in entertaining. Lunch preceded pre-ceded the eveining of Bridge, with honors going to Mrs. A. J. Christ-ensen, Christ-ensen, Mrs. Cecil Gates of Los Anegeles and Mrs. Joseph W. Judd. Eleven tables were played. M, Jf- V. Mrs. William B. Hansen, the former Arvilla Pace, spent last week in St. George visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Israel Pace. Her husband, Sgt. Hansen, is in training at Fort Smith, Ark., and they are located in one of the apartments of the new military homes at the post. Mrs. Hansen left Saturday to return to Fort Smith. Mr. and Mrs. James Chadburn received word recently of the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Smithies in Seattle. The baby's mother is their daughter, the former Ruby Chadburn. j)t. .v- Jt. Guests over last week of Dr. and Mrs. P. E. Harris were their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Howe of New York City. Mr. Howe is interested in mining prospects pros-pects in this area. Ot. Jl. -v. vc Home from Seattle for the deer hunt were Mr. and Mrs. Ervin McArtheur. They were accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. McArthur's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Hatch and their son, Glendon, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dalton, all of Salt Lake City. They were guests while here of Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Mor-oni McArthur, and were all successful suc-cessful in getting their deer. -V- -N'- Mr. and Mrs. Clair S. Terry and daughter Velma, and Rudger McArthur drove to Enterprise on Sunday, where they were joined by Marion Terry, and from there the group drove to Salt Lake City on business. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Scoones and Elmer Eastman of Los Angeles were week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ora-: hood, while here for the deer hunt. Mr. Scoones had the misfortune mis-fortune to sprain his foot while hunting and was obliged to have it put into a cast before leaving for home. 4U Jt. M. If W -tV Mr. and Mrs. Orval Wiseman and baby arrived last Friday from Salt Lake City and are guests at the home of Mrs. Mattie Empey, mother of Mrs. Wiseman. Mr. Wiseman leaves this Friday to enter military service and Mrs. Wiseman plans to remain with her mother fo rthe present.
