Show Dixie College News Pres. Glenn E. Snow returned Sunday from Cleveland, where he had attended a meeting of the executive council of the National Education association. Pres. Snow is a director in this organization. Mr. Snow also went to Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, in the interest of the bill which had as its purpose the equalizing of education throughout the various states by means of federal subsidies. The bill, sponsored by Senator Elbert Thomas, was defeated. D.J.C. The Dixie college Faculty Women's Wom-en's club will meet in the Science building afternoon at 5 o'clock. The spirit of Hallowe'en will be featured, with B. Glen Smith as the guest spook story teller. Hostesses are Mrs. Laura Snow, Mrs. Pauline Fuller Christensen and Mrs. Stella Bleak, v.. D.J.C. Lambda Delta Sigma installed 27 members in an impressive ceremony cer-emony last Wednesday night. Elna Gardiner, Panguitch, has been appointed Bond chairman at the college. She will organize activities ac-tivities to increase the fund to be used for scholarships following the close of the war. |
