Show HURRICANE Mrs. Vernet Ilinton Reporter Linden ISradshaw arrived last Thursday on furlough. Wendell Tobler of Santa Clara is here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Keith Tobler. Mrs. Carol Sampson of Las Vi'gas spent the week end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ilyrum Bradshaw. The Alice Louise Reynolds club held an open session last Friday in the North ward Relief Society building at 4:15 p.m. Pres. La- Vern Isom was in charge of the program, which consisted of thj following numbers: Vocal duet, "Somewhere A Voice Is Calling", by LaVerna Graff and Allie Wilson; Wil-son; Mrs. Deslie Anderson of St. George reviewed the book, "Mr. Winkle Goes To War"; piano duet by Donna Sandberg and Irene Ilinton. Truman Isom is here on furlough fur-lough from Panama and expects to leave Saturday to return to his post. Mrs. Joseph Webb entertained the Ladies' Literary club last Friday. Fri-day. They spent the time finishing finish-ing a quilt for the Legion Auxiliary. Aux-iliary. Merlene Stevens came Sunday from school at Provo and expects ex-pects to leave again Thursday. Mrs. Eva Webb spent a few days this week in St. George with her mother, Mrs. Rhoda Cannon, who is ill. Clark Webb spent the week end home from school with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn M. Webb. Mrs. Henry Blake of Salt Lake City came Sunday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens and left Wednesday. Clark Ballard is on leave from his Navy post at Corpus Christi, Texas, and leaves Thursday for his new assignment at Washington. Wash-ington. Mrs. Leon Glazier of Cedar City is here visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Jepson of Las Vegas spent the week end here and left Tuesday. Stanley Hinton is home on fur-' fur-' lough. Beulah Barber is here visiting from Los Angeles where she has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Arbon Hall spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Hall. Mr. and Mrs. R. I. Carter are living at the Dixie hotel for a month. Mrs. Clarence Gibson of Virginia Vir-ginia is in Hurricane and expects to be here for the duration. Lorraine Lewis and Julia Whitney Whit-ney left Tuesday for San Diego.. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Syrett of Panguitch were in town Sunday. Floyd Bradshaw spent Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas visiting. |
