Show President and Mrs. Harris To Be Presented Here Wednesday In Discussions Bringing with them first-hand information in-formation of the conditions in the Orient, Russia and Iran, President and Mrs,. Franklin S. Harris will be presented in talks at the Dixie junior college auditorium on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. These outstanding speakers will appear here through an invitation of the college and the B.-P. W. club. These world-travelers were in the Orient in 1927 and in Russia in 1929. They also spent a year in Iran as agriculture advisor to the Iranian government, returning home in September 1940. Since that time they have been in touch with people in those countries and are thus well acquainted with the conditions of those countries today. to-day. While Mrs. Harris is a Washington Wash-ington county girl and President Harris has visited here many times, this will be their first visit here since their return to this country. President Harris is well-known well-known in the state, having been connected with its schools, director direc-tor of Utah experiment station from 1916 to 1921 and President of B. Y. U. since 1921. He is a recognized authority on Soil Technology Tech-nology and in other fields of science sci-ence is noted. He is the author of several books and many articles. Mrs. Harris has also earned a reputation as a speaker and has brought many interesting souvenirs souven-irs back with her from their trip. It is anticipated that she will use some of them to illustrate her talk. "President and Mrs. Harris are well-known for their ability to persent interesting talks and for their ability to study International Relation problems and form a sound conclusion.
