Show Pheasant, Quail Season Opens Here Sunday Washington county hunters are looking forward to the pheasant and quail season which opens on November 2 in the prescribed districts dis-tricts as recommended by county game wardens and officials of the Washington County Wild Life Federation and approved by the directors of the State Fish and Game department. Indications afe that the hunting should be good this year. Additional Addi-tional pheasants were planted in the county this summer which should materially increase the hunters' prospects. After searching all over town for a copy of the districts where hunting is permitted a copy of the recommendations sent in to the state was received from Clair Terry, secretary of the county association. as-sociation. However, due to a "flood" of last-minute copy and a legal which the city needed to be published in this issue of the News, the News staff was unable to get this into type in time to meet the mail. Hunters are advised ad-vised to contact association officials offic-ials or game wardens if there is any doubt in their mind regarding the hunting regulations. |
