Show Livestock Show To Be Held Here Friday, May 4 Hurricane and Dixie FF.A. Chapters To Enter Contests Friday, May 4, is the date set by the combined F. F. A. chapters of Hurricane and Dixie high and the l-II club groups under the direction direc-tion of their leaders for the first all out Junior Livestock Show in Washington county. It will be held at the St. George Rodeo grounds. Details of the program will be announced next week. The show is announced as a Matinee for the June Livestock show in Salt Lake City. The project, which has been under contemplation for some months, came to a head Wednesday Wednes-day evening, April 11, when officers offi-cers of Hurricane and Dixie F. F. A., with Elmer Graff and Ray Garner, instructors, and 4-H club officers, Anson Call, county agent, met in St. George. Guests at the meeting were Senator Claud Hirschi, Hir-schi, Hurricane; Rep. E. S. Gardner, Gar-dner, W. B. Mathis, W. W. Mc-Arthur, Mc-Arthur, Evan J. Woodbury, G. H. Seegmiller, Joseph T. Atkin Jr., and Wayne C. Gardner, all of St. George. The" visitors expressed enthusiasm for the proposed stock show, states Ray S. Garner, and have given the boys a challenge to live up to in their livestock program. |
