Mr. and Mrs. Jerry George and daughters have returned to their employment at Barstow, Calif., after spending the past week with relatives in Leeds. Miss Charlene Stirling spent Thursday and Friday in Parowan visit ing. Mrs. Glenn Real was called to St. George early Thursday morning morn-ing because of the illness of her mother, Mrs. Eliza Cox. Mr. and Mrs. Mack G. Jackson and daughter, Nancy Rose were raster guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vere MiiMullin. Mrs. Jackson also rernkTed two vocal solos in Leeds Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. eve-ning. Glade Dalton of Las Vegas spent the Easter holidays here with his grandmother, Mrs. Rebecca Re-becca Angell and his sister, Norma Dalton. Mrs. Dallice Hartman had as her guest Wednesday a Mrs. Wade of Cedar City. Out-of-town relatives attending the Saturday func-ral services for Mrs. Annie H. Wright included Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Mortenson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mortenson, Vern Mortenson and Mrs. Norma Wharthen all of Parowan; Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Blake and children and Mrs. P. E. Harris, all of St. George. Charles Wright arrived at 1 a. m., Sunday just nine hours after the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Annie' H. Wright. Charles was an only child and every effort ef-fort was made to contact him during the past three weeks, since his mother took seriously ill. Douglas Olsen spent last week in Salt Lake City where he went to enlist in the Navy air corps. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rudy and Mrs. Douglas Olsen of Price spent Easter in Leeds with Mr. and Mrs. Ammon Jolley, parents of Mrs. Rudy and Mrs. Olsen. Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Robinson and daughter, Cloris of Glendale, were visitors Friday and Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ed-ward McMullin. The two women are sisters. Bishop Stanley Fuller and his first counselor Walter C. Eagar attended general conference in Salt Lake City over the week end. R. C. Savage spent last Thursday Thurs-day and Friday in Parowan on business. Leeds Sunday school officers and teachers presented an appropriate ap-propriate Easter program in place of regular Sunday school Sunday morning. The home of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Sullivan was the setting for a nicely arranged post wedding shower last week end honoring Mrs. Ben Ford, the former La-Donna La-Donna Sullivan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sullivan of St. George. A large group of relatives rela-tives and close friends were in attendance. |
