Mr. and Mrs. Kllis Hunt went to I 'a rowan last week to visit Mrs. I Tunt's parents. Tom Mosdale of Cedar City, who was he-re hauling sand on the Cottonwood road eame near hav-,n- a serious accident last week when his dump truck ran off the road, making a complete turnover' turn-over' and landing upside down in the hot torn of the canyon. Mr. Mosdale escaped without injury. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Drexell .stopped over in Enterprise Saturday Sat-urday nitfht. Thoy were enroute from Lehi to Las Veas to visit with Mrs. Drexell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. E. Huntsman. Mr. Urexell is a radio operator, and is heint; transferred to Las Vegas. A farewell party was given in tin; Enterprise gym Monday night for Paris Robinson, who is leaving leav-ing soon for military induction. Dancing followed the program which included: Vocal quartet, Merlin Huntsman, Alma, Merrill and Alhna Terry; prayer, Bishop Arthur J. Barlocker; solo, Carol Bracken; reading Delia Truman; cornet solo, LeRoy Stahcli; talks, Durward Terry, Pvt. Alma Hunt, Paris Robinson; and two numbers, "The Army Air Corps", and "God Bless America", by the girls' chorus. Pvt. Alma Hunt is home on a ten-day furlough from Mississippi. Enterprise farmers are almost certain of plenty of water for the coming summer, due to the heavy snow which fell this week. Starting early Monday morning, the storm continued up until 3 p. m., with 15 inches of new snow reported. Light flurries have fallen from time to time since. Farrcl Murie of Cedar City, who is home on leave from the Navy, spent Monday in Enterprise visiting visit-ing with Leah Pickering. |
