Show Fathers-Sons Banquet Program To Have Military-Patriotic Theme Big Crowds Expected To Attend Basketball Game and President's Ball The complete program for the Fathers-Sons banquet on Feb. 10 has been outlined, and tickets are on sale at the three local drug stores. The program will be based on the theme, "The Ninth Plank of the New Bill of Rights Fathers and Sons Forever," according ac-cording to program chairman, B. Glen Smith. It will have a patriotic-military flavor, with several local organizations taking part. W. C. Cox, menu chairman, reports re-ports that a delicious meal is being be-ing prepared, with the West ward Relief Society in charge of the cooking and serving. Donald Schmutz, chairman of ticket sales, states that tickets-are tickets-are now obtainable. The proceeds of previous years will be followed, fol-lowed, states Mr. Schmutz, except that on the day of the banquet all tickets will be available in one place. Ticket sales will close as soon as facilities and plates of food are exhausted. He urges that disappointment will be avoided if tickets are bought early. Buffet Luncheon Planned Leo G. Smith, in charge of physical arrangements, plans to care for a greater patronage this year by using the buffet luncheon styles. Groups are advised to plan to arrive about th.t? same time, as the luncheon, will be served as the guests arrive. The program, will e given immediately immedi-ately after the banquet supper. Xhe time of serving will be announced an-nounced later. j Decorations will be under the supervision of Arthur Cottam. The banquet is under the supervision super-vision of the Boy Scout organization organ-ization with W. W. McArthur as general chairman. Actively participating will be the Rotary club, the Lions, the American Legion, the Future Farmers, the college Boys' club and others. The Fathers-Sons banquet is an annual affair. For the past few years it has been a part of the Boy Scout Anniversary week. A second feature of the week this year will be a Scout circus in the college gymnasium on Feb. 8th. The public is invited to attend at-tend the circus without charge. |
