Show Children Honor J. S. Abbott On 76th Birthday Several of the children of James S. Abbott assembled at the McGregor Mc-Gregor hospital Sunday afternoon to pay tribute to their father on his 76th birthday anniversary. Mr. Abbott is in the hospital resulting from injuries received last week in Nevada when a carload of young people returning from a ball game rammed into his car on a one-way bridge. He is reported re-ported making good improvement. Visiting him Sunday were Mr. (Continued on page eight) J. S. Abbott (Continued from first page) and Mrs. Gus Pendleton, Mrs. Merlyn Smith, Mrs. Grant Brooks, of St. George; Mrs. Pete Osta-gard Osta-gard and daughter, Jannie, of Los Angeles; Mrs. Robert Ziemer and son, Robert Jr., of Burbank, and Mrs. Bertie Hutchings, of Glendale, Calif. Although he has facial lacerations lac-erations and an injured chest, Mr. Abbott was able to enjoy the visit from his son-in-law, daughters and grandchildren. The California visitors, who were guests while here of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Pendleton, returned home on Wednesday, and will visit in Bunk-erville Bunk-erville enroute home with their mother,"-Mrs. Abbott, who is ill. |
