Show WASHINGTON Mrs. Caddie Neilson Reporter Calvin Hall, who was stricken with a stroke a week ago is still in a serious condition. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Neilson returned last week from a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Fay Iverson entertained her Rook club on Wednesday afternoon. aft-ernoon. Mrs. Tillie Sorenson visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Israel Neilson Sr., on Friday. Edward Nisson and son, Clark, returned home Sunday from Flagstaff, Flag-staff, Ariz., where they had been to meet Quenton Nisson, another son of Mr. Neilson's, who is serving serv-ing in the Army at Texas. He has a few days' furlough to spend with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Williams entertained a few of their friends Saturday night at a card party. Mrs. Calvin Hall left Wednesday for Boise, Ida., to attend the funeral fun-eral of her father. Marion Jolley spent Saturday and Sunday here with his family. He is working in Boulder City. Mrs. Heber Harrison of New Castle spent Monday and Tuesday Tues-day with her sister, Mrs. Jennie Hall. Mrs. Floyd Sandberg and twin daughters were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sandberg on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Centennial Tree Planting The Centennial tree planting ceremony was held here on March 17th, with a very significant program. pro-gram. Our marker was also put in a very artistic and beautiful monument of rock which was the work of Edward F. Nisson and which was donated to the Relief Society by him. Three of our past Relief Society So-ciety presidents were present at the evening program held at 8:30 p. m., under the direction of Pres. Caddie Neilson. They wore Mes-dames Mes-dames Georgena Neilson, Minnie Paxman and Mina Sandberg. Each was presented with a corsage of carnations. Following a program lunch was served cafeteria slyle to over 200 people. This was followed fol-lowed with dancing. |
