Show State Officials Visit At Miller Home Here Friday Visiting last Friday at the home of Representative Albert E. Miller of this city, was Senator George Miller of Price and Senator Ed Watson, recently appointed State Engineer, who were returning from attending the National Irrigation Irri-gation conference held last week in Phoenix, Ariz. The three men were recently associated in the state legislature. Asked for a statement as to the hope of developing the water stor"age projects on the Santa Clara and Rio Virgin streams, these visitors, states Mr. Miller, expressed confidence that if the people locally will take the matter up with the Federal Government officials, they will get results. On Monday, Mr. Miller with Edward R. Frei visited the Winsor dam above the Indian reservation and report a large volume of water wa-ter going over that dam. Recalling Recall-ing that Utah furnishes 13 per cent of the Boulder Dam power supply, principally from the two local streams, the Rio Virgin and the Santa Clara, these men are certain that citizens should awaken awak-en to the vast resource of power and soil replenishment which is daily going out of the state through these two sources. |
