Show Stormy Weather Cuts Down Take Of Hunters On Dixie National Forest Storms Keep Hunters In State Longer In Order To Get Their Deer Eighteen hundred California hunters hun-ters had checked through the Santa Clara checking station at noon today with approximately 76 per cent of them having their bucks, reports R. K. Davis, deputy dep-uty game warden of Fillmore, who is in charge of the checking of the hunters out of the state. These hunters took with them an average of l'i deereach, 13S0 taking tak-ing out their bucks and 1350 getting get-ting doe deer. Mr. Davis estimates that nearly 3500 California hunters hun-ters were in Utah hunting with probably half that number on the Dixie forest. Storm Slows 'Take' "Stormy weather has made the check-out more gradual due to the fact that hunters had to hunt longer to get their deer. The result re-sult has been that our work at the checking station has been easier. While the check to date shows a percentage of around 76 per cent getting their deer, I believe be-lieve that the final count will bring the percentage up to about 80 per cent since those who are staying longer and giving more time to the hunt should get a (Continued on page four) DeMoine Neilsen Death (Continued from first page) uary where inquest was held on Monday morning. Music for the services consisted of a vocal duet by Mildred and Roma Nisson, accompanied by Cuba Hall; vocal solo by Clive Hartman, "Whispering Hope", accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Mae Pace; two vocal solos by Mrs. Mamie Pax-man Pax-man and Mrs. Harry Gentry, "Sometime We'll Understand" and "I Know That My Heavenly Father Knows", accompanied by Mrs. Dick Pearce. Speakers were Pres. Harold S. Snow, William Tobler and Bishop Iverson. Prayers Pray-ers were offered by Pres. Glenn E. Snow and Israel Neilson Jr. Surviving besides DeMoine's parents are nine brother and sisters, sis-ters, Jay, Wayne, Clemont, Belle, Van, Ray, Byron, Gaydra and Janis, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Neilson Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Prisbrey. |
