Show Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Ahlstrom Leave For Alaskan j Honeymoon, On Sat. July 12 Sailing from Seattle, Wash., July 12 for an Alaskan honeymoon were Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Ahlstrom of St. George, who attended the National Dental conference In Portland, Ore., before beginning their voyage. Mrs. Ahlstrom, the former Fae Terry, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Terry of Rockvolle, and Dr. Ahlstrom is the son of Mrs. Minnie Ahlstrom of this city. Both are graduates of the Dixie junior college and of the University of Southern California, School of Dental Surgery. Dr. Ahlstrom has been practicing in St. George the past four years and Mrs. Ahlstrom graduated in June of this year, winning four major scholarship honors, including includ-ing the medal for outstanding J work in theory and practice in Children's dentistry, the first A woman of the institution to win f this distinction, was made honor t member of the dental fraternity, i president of the woman's division ? of the National Association of 5 Dentists and is the first woman 5 student of the institution to re- 5 ceive the letter for outstanding J work in all four years of her S work. Dr. Ahlstrom was also an 5 honor student of U. S. C, at the f time of his graduation from the i school of Dental Surgery. J , The couple were married in ? Pocatello, Idaho, on the evening 5 of July 3, at the home of Bishop f and Mrs. Grant Stowell, the 5 bishop reading the ' ceremony in ( the presence of Dr. and Mrs. O. F. Call as witnesses. Bishop Stowell is a brother and Mrs. Call a !; sister of Mrs. Roxey S. Romney !' of this city. ! Following their marriage Dr. and Mrs. Ahlstrom went on to 1 1 Portland to the National conven- '! tion, and from there to Seattle, !' to begin their voyage to Alaska, j! They plan to return late in Au- ! gust to make their home in St. 1 1 George. |
