Keith Terry of Rockville nnd Pfc. Roger Pickett of St. George. Mrs. Evan J. Pickett was hostess, Lt. Terry being her cousin and Pfc. Pickett her brother-in-law. The evening was devoted to a music program and games. Among the guests were Lt. Terry's two sisters, Mrs. Rarbara Bell and Mrs. Dorothy McLeod of Rockville. Rock-ville. Mrs. Frank Turley and small daughter, Dianne, who have been guests for three weeks at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Mattie Empey, returned to their home in Los Angeles, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Blake, who have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon BInke, have returned to their home in Las Vegas. O Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Perkins of Riverside Tavern, Moapa, were business visitors in St. George on Tuesday. Mrs. Orson Hall arrived last week from San Francisco where she has spent two months with her daughter and son-in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Stephen Rushforth. She reports Mrs. Rushforth is materially mater-ially improving from her recent illness. Mr. Hall joined her in Los Angeles for the return trip and they visited two days with their son, Pvt. Julian C. Hall. Mrs. Lou Fitcher of Los Angeles and Mrs. Allen Ruesch and daughter, daugh-ter, Jane left Wednesday for Springdale to visit until Friday. Mrs. Ward Esplin entertained a group of friends at her home on Tuesday evening honoring her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Frank Sevy of Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, who has been visiting in St. George for two weeks, and for Mrs. Lou Fitcher of Los Angeles. Mrs. Robert Pitts left Friday for Boco Raton, La., where she will join her husband, who is located there on military duty. Nine members of the St. George Lions club with their wives attended at-tended the Zone meeting held at Ruby's Inn, Bryce Canyon, last Saturday afternoon and evening. They were Neal Lundberg, W. E. Hasfurther, Irvin Milne, H. Val Hafen, Ray Whipple, Arthur Pax-man, Pax-man, Dr. A. J. Hutchings and Howard Judd. Ensign and Mrs. DeVere McAllister Mc-Allister and two children arrived Monday from Boulder, Colorado. Mrs. McAllister and children will remain with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. W. C. Cox, and Ensign McAllister Mc-Allister will report at New York City. A it A Lothair Mangum entertained his West ward teacher quorum at his home last Thusrday evening. Lunch was served following games. M. M. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bentley arrived late Wednesday evening from Denver to visit for several days with relatives and to bring Mrs. Bentley's mother, Mrs. Warren War-ren Cox, who has been with them the past five months. w W -vfc Rudgar Clayton Atkin Slc, who has completed his second voyage to Guam, arrived Wednesday for a 15-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudgar Atkin. He was accompanied by his cousin, Jack Prince, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Prince, who is on his way back to his aviation training at Bakersfield, Calif. j. M. Rex B. McAllister AMMlc and Mrs. McAllister are here from Seattle visiting with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McAllister. They will also visit with relatives of Mrs. McAllister Mc-Allister in Parowan. Pvt. Donald Judd returned Monday Mon-day from military training, having hav-ing been given a medical discharge. Alpine McGregor and Paul La-Mar La-Mar Wilkin, both seamen second class, have just completed their boot training in San Diego and are visiting in St George, Seaman McGregor with his father, Dr. W. McGregor, and Seaman Wilkin with his grandmother, Mrs. Helen F. Gray, and sister, Mrs. R. E. Dawson. |
