Show Large College Group Participates In Colorful Dance Revue Dancing as an art was excellently portrayed in the annual revue of the Dixie college last Friday and Saturday nights. Mrs. Pauline Christensen, director, deserves much praise for the work she did with the girls and boys who participated, parti-cipated, especially since the work was extra-curricular. Mrs. Christensen made a call for volunteers several wreeks ago and accepted all comers. And with them she put on a Show that has attracted much favorable comment. com-ment. Tap ballet, interpretation and folk dances were emphasized. It would be difficult to select the best dances, but some of them stood out in the eyes of the audience. aud-ience. As individual dancers, Stanton Schmutz, Josephine Jones and Norma Jean Paolasso stood out, with Valerie Hafen- doing well in the modern dance. The Samba attracted attention because of its weirdness. Others that deserve mention because of their original ity were the moods in color, Hiro-hito Hiro-hito and Itchy-Itchy and the variety var-iety in the Maypole dance. Besides being presented here, the revue was taken to Order-ville Order-ville Wednesday afternoon and to Kanab Wednesday night. |
