Show DIXIE COLLEGE Preparations by the different classes for the "D" Day festivities festivi-ties on March 2 7 is in full swing this week at the Dixie college. Plans have been made for a day of celebration and entertainment to exceed the anticipation of even the most enthusiastic student. Miss Doris Tobler, popular sapho-more sapho-more girl, will reign over the day as "D" queen. Here coronation will be a feature of the "D" Day dance. Debaters from the Utah State Agricultural college met the teams from Dixie college in a debate on Tuesday, March 24. The Dixie debaters, and possibly the extemporaneous speech contestants, contes-tants, will leave Wednesday night, March 25, to compete in the University Uni-versity of Utah Forensic tournament tourna-ment at Salt Lake City. The contest con-test will comprise junior varsity teams from all of the colleges in Utah and several from surrounding surround-ing states. It will be held on March 26 and 27. The Lambda Beta Theta pledges entertained the active members at a 'St. Patrick's Day party on Thursday of last week. The members mem-bers report an enjoyable time. |
