Show LEEDS Clark Hartman and Freda Gil-lis Gil-lis of New Castle were married in Cedar City on Friday. Mrs. Hazel Bradshaw, Mrs. Edna, Ed-na, Dennett and Mrs. Josephine Pace were here to organize the Daughters of the Pioneers. The organization was partly organized organ-ized with Mrs. Lavenia Fuller chosen as captain and Mrs. Lizzie McQuaid as secretary. The other officers will be selected very soon. The Relief Society on Friday evening will give a one act play and dance. The proceeds will go to the generaWund. Last Friday the boys at the CCC camp gave a dance in the ward building. A very good time was had. On Sunday night the fruit growers lost a large percent of their crop by frost. Some orchards orch-ards suffered little while others are a complete loss it is feared. Mrs. C. E. Allen is very sick with what seems to be the flu. Her sister, Velma Spendlove of Hurricane is here with her. The past week there has been lots of sickness, mostly severe colds. Mrs. Dan Barker of Parowan spent last , week-end here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David McMullin. |
