Show Roy A. Welker Speaks At Sacrament Meeting Roy A. Welker, seminary instructor instruc-tor was the principal speaker in the south ward sacramental services ser-vices last Sunday evening. His discourse was principally on the work of the L.D.S. church, the trend of religion of the day and world need of more religious vitality. vi-tality. Vocal numbers were by Harold Higgins, Dixie college student stu-dent from Price, and a duet by Mrs. Rulon Pecton and Helen Pectol, with Mrs. Ada Cannon accompanying. ac-companying. In the south ward M.I.A. Tuesday Tues-day evening, the travel talk was given by Donald P. Seegmiller and Harold Hafen, covering the trip taken to Old Mexico recently. Mr. Seegmiller told principally of the journey, the social and political conditions in Mexico and the vast field of interest historically and otherwise for the tourists. Many humorous situations and happenings happen-ings were recalled. Mr. Hafen recounted re-counted the incidents of the "Bull Fight" which the group attended. Both were very interesting. In the east ward M.I.A. special musical numbers were given by a newly organized instrumental trio, with Frank Holland at the piano, Alden Lee with the guitar and Bud Harris with the harmonica. har-monica. These numbers were followed fol-lowed by a detailed story of the trip to Mexico given by Phillip Foremast er. who had previously served as a missionary to that country. His story of the ease, low cost, and many interesting highlights of the trip, aroused the enthusiasm of mewibers and many are talking of making a similar trip next year. |
