The I'Liy school provides opportunity op-portunity for individual development develop-ment under healthful conditions. The attendance is not confined to relief or low income groups, but is open to boys and girls five years of a,v. who are not eligible to enter the public school, or are not attending private schools. The boys and girls are guided i to become friendly, sympathetic, I generous, reasonably affectionate and happy. Home and school cooperation is indispensable in the Play Program. Pro-gram. Much of the value of the training in Play school is lost unless the principles can be carried car-ried over into the remainder of the child's life. Three of these schools have been operating in Washington County this year and we feel that they have made a worthy contribution to this age group. We hope even more may be organized for another year. |
