Show ROCKVILLE MRS. PHILETUS JONES Reporter Walter Moody of Cedar City and Miss Thelma Stevens of Rock-ville Rock-ville were married in Oakland, California, August 29. Mrs. Alton Jones and daughter have gone to St. George for the Homecoming. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shell of Oakland axe here visiting relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Shell was formerly Miss Reva Dentin. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Green and-two and-two daughters of Phoenix, Arizona Ari-zona arrived here Wednesday to visit relatives and friends. Mr and Mrs. Bert Sullivan of St. George was in town during dur-ing the week arranging for the school work. Mr. Sullivan will be principal this winter. Orley Stapley of Cedar City and Rex Russell bought a truck load of hay for Mrs. Alice Russell. Rus-sell. Miss Alice Gregerson of Pintura is here visiting her aunt, Mrs. Afton Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wbrthen and children are here visiting and putting up fruit at the home 'of Philetus Jones. Mr. Worthen will teach in Beaver high school during dur-ing the coming winter. Horace Demill is working at Zion Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. Pierce and daughter daugh-ter of Georgia and two returning return-ing missionaries from Mesa, Arizona, Ari-zona, elders Palmer and Lewis were visiting with Gordon Jones on Monday. Another disastrous flood swept down the Horse Yailey wash on Tuesday, sweeping away a seventy-foot flume which was just rebuilt last week. Another twenty-feet of flume was also carried away. This is a very hard knock for the little town of Grafton, with so few men to keep 'up the ditches. |
