Show TOURISTS ROBBED BY THIEVES WHEN "REST STOP" MADE Thieves robbed Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Kemp of Oakland of approximately ap-proximately $350 worth of money and valuables on Friday night, about three miles south of Pin-ture. Pin-ture. The robbery took place at 10:45 when the couple had stopped stop-ped by the side of the road' to sleep a short time before continuing con-tinuing their journey. In reporting the robbery to Sheriff Antone Prince, the couple stated that they had just pulled up by the side of road when a car went by, stopped a short ways beyond and two men came back, put guns in their faces and forced Mrs. Kemp to give the money and valuables. The loot taken from them included $41 in money,, wrist watches, five dresses and two new suits. ., , v. iinhhpTv thev roiiowiug n" to the distributor off the car to delay summoning of help. j A search for the thieves was' instigated by the Sheriffs de- partmeut and state police but they were unable to locate the, thieves. That night the state, officers were stopping every carl as it came through in an effort, to arrest another criminal. It is, their belief that they know the car that three men were in be-, cause of the description and ac-! tions of the men.
