Show La Verkin Winferd Gubler Reporter Mrs. Carmenita Heywood gave her small daughter, Loris Rae, a birthday birth-day party at the home of Mrs. LaVell Hinton. Mr. and Mrs. William A. Hardy, Palmer Asay, Henry W. Gubler, Winferd Gubler, John Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Church were Temple visitors on Saturday. In a hard-fought game of basketball bas-ketball Monday night, the local M Men were taken for a drubbing by the Zion Park CCC team. The score was 31 to 70. The farmers of this section met here Monday night to listen to market conditions reviewed by Mr. Pratt and to formulate some plan to better care for future sales of all commodities. The scouts sponsored a dance here Tuesday night. They always have endeavored to put over a Valentine ball to help defray the incidental expenses toward better scouting. The genealogical committee of the ward was organized recently with Cyrus Gifford as president. Palmer Asay and Leonard Hardy as counselors and Mrs. Ruby Dut-ton, Dut-ton, secretary. Their first activity was marked by a sacrament meeting meet-ing service Sunday night. Bert Langford of St. George was invited in-vited to speak and a good turn out enjoyed his sermon. The Alice Louise Reynolds club met recently at the home of Mrs. Camilla Judd with Mrs. Maurine Wilson as co-hostess. Mrs. Leah Wadsworth reviewed the book, "My Son, My Son" by Howard Spring and Mrs. Maud Reed presented pre-sented the biography of the author. A piano selection was given by Mrs. Donna Sandberg. Lunch was served to 24 members. The Felice club was entertained recently at the home of Mrs. Cleone Iverson. |
