Show Enterprise Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter Hertha Crawford was operated on at the Iron county hospital on February 2 for appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. Marian Terry spent Tuesday in Cedar City on business. W. W. Cannon visited here for a short time Tuesday. Mr. Cannon was on his way to survey some of the road between the Utah line and Panaca. Ivor Clove accompanied accom-panied him from here to assist with the survey. A. P. Winsor, son, Elborn, Roy Adams, and son, Herman, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Holt and Mr. and Mrs. Amos Holt attended a potato growers meeting in Cedar City on Saturday night. Mr. Rasmussen head of "The Better Seed and Crop Improvement association" was present with instructions of value to potato growers. Mrs. Eliza Fish, who died at Parowan on Saturday, was buried here Monday. Funeral services were held in Parowan the same day. Mrs. Fish was formerly a resident of Enterprise but on the death of her husband many years ago, she went to Parowan to live with her sister and has resided there ever since. Mrs. Julia Fish, son, Wilford and daughter, Mrs. Hannah Bushar attended funeral services at Parowan. Mrs. Barbara Wihsor, Mrs. Gertrude Lund and Ivan Holt have been appointed by the bishopric as a beautification committee com-mittee for the ward. Mrs. Ila Terry, who has acted as counselor to Mrs. Libbie Terry in the primary association, was released Sunday and Mrs. , Rosa Barlocker was sustained to take her place. The Aurora Federative literary club members were happily surprised sur-prised Monday evening under the direction of Pres. Alice Lund and First Vice-President Mrs. Renzie Day at the home of Mrs. Heneritta Day. when their husbands hus-bands walked in unexpectedly bursting with games, stunts and jokes. The book report prepared by Mrs. Ila Terry was postponed until February 26 and the evening eve-ning turned over to the husbands with Ezra Tobler acting as master of ceremonies. A refreshing plate lunch was served by the hostesses. |
