Show Toquerville Mrs. Bowena Slack Reporter "" Mrs. Martha Bringhurst of Poca-' tello, Idaho, is visiting her chil dren here and her son, Archie, who is in the Cedar City hospital. Those attending the D.U.P. convention con-vention at St. George on Saturday were Hesdames Lillian Bringhurst, Anna Laura Anderson, Caroline A. Slack, Lorine I. Higbee and Miss Blanch Lamb. A friendship shower was given to Mrs. Marvin Jones Thursday afternoon. Saturday night the relief society sponsored a dance, the proceeds of which will go to our church building fund. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Worthen of St. George spent the week end with their daughter, Mrs. Harry Slack. Wednesday night a benefit dance was given in LaVerkin for Archie Bringhurst. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Slack spent the week end here. Mrs. A. P. Spilsbury spent Tuesday Tues-day visiting friends. Friday afternoon Mrs. Vera Beatty and Mrs. Helene McAllister McAllis-ter entertained at a quilting. |
