Show "The Frame Up" A Three-Act Three-Act Play Will Be Presented Wed., April 6 "The Frame Up", a three-act play, will be presented next Wednesday Wed-nesday night, April 6, in the Dixie college auditorium at 8 p.m. This is a WPA play and will be presented present-ed under the direction of E. S. Higgins. Funds derived from the play will go to assist in the staging stag-ing of the high school Music Festival. Festi-val. The play takes place in a three story tenament house in New York City. The plot evolves around Hope Nelson and her father, who was the partner of "Cold Cash" Burnam. At the death of her father, Burnam claims that Nelson's Nel-son's fortune had been lost by him in private debts and Burnam attempts at-tempts to cheat Hope out of the money that has been left her by her father. The final scene takes place in the office of Burnam and shows a robbery being instigated insti-gated and the safe of Burnam being opened with the result that papers are found to prove that Burnam was attempting to rob Hope of her inheritance. S. Higgins; Hig-gins; Dective Clansy, Robert Mc-Comb. Mc-Comb. Tickets for this piny are being sold by the Dixie college and Pixie junior high band members. |
