Show College Presents Opera At Hurricane High School HURRICANE, Utah The Dixie junior college opera, "The Troubadour Trou-badour and the Montebank" was presented Monday night at Hurricane Hur-ricane before a large and appreciative ap-preciative audience, under the direction of Jos. W. McAllister. The good chorus work, the excellent ex-cellent rendition of parts by the principals and the splendid orchestra or-chestra made up of 18 pieces, led by Earl J. Bleak, released a flood of memories to former Dixie college col-lege students, who as parents in the audience, had played in this self-same opera in 1913, when Gordon Riding, Chester Snow, Ralph McAllister, Lo Ren Watson and Mary Crosby, portrayed the leading roles. Still other groups recalled their pleasant studies under Mr. McAllister Mc-Allister when he a second time produced, "Erminie" with Wendell Robinson, Bird Terry, Phil Smith and Olive Snow as the principals. Many of Mr. McAllister's former for-mer students at Hurricane proposed pro-posed that next year when he comes with his annual opera it be, "Priscilla". |
