Show Scout Executive Talks To Scout Workers At Meet Here Saturday Nite A. A. Anderson, Scout executive of the Utah Parks council was the principal speaker at a meeting meet-ing of Scout workers held in the basement of the Tabernacle Saturday Sat-urday evening. This was one of a series of meetings conducted by Mr. Anderson and Mr. Merrill Christopherson throughout the entire en-tire council. Problems vital to the district were discussed, featuring a roll call inventory to be completed the next few days. The roll call will determine the number of boys eligible for Scouting, the number registered, and the number not yet reached. Statistics at present show, said Mr. Anderson, that the Snow's canyon district leads the council in percentage of boys registered. reg-istered. The national mobilization plan for civic service in time of disaster dis-aster or other need was explained. The troops of St. George will get their first call Saturday, November Novem-ber 16. Problems of council expansion, with accompanying financial problems, prob-lems, were also taken up. Members were present from the district committee, the various troop committees, and other troop leaders, including Scoutmasters. |
