Show Mesquite, Nev. Mrs. D. L. Keber Reiorter Mr. and Mrs. Francis Bowler of Gunlock visited with their daughter. daugh-ter. Mrs. Max Hafen, Sunday. A wedding party was given in honor of Mrs. Thorn Leavitt on Saturday afternoon at the school house. A very large crowd was out and the bride received many lovely gifts. Mrs. Mildred Hunt was in charge of the games. A nice lunch was served. Mrs. Sarah C. Hall of Manti. Utah, visited here with her niece, Mrs. Marion Hughes last week. Men started working on the relief society hall Tuesday. It will be remodeled and made larger. The Mesquite Chevy club had a surprise party last Thursday honoring Mrs. Laurel E. Leavitt at the home of Mrs. Alfred Freh-ner. Freh-ner. After lunch was served, the evening was spent in playing rook. The following couples were in attendance: Mr. and Mrs. Laurel Leavitt, Orval Abbott, Elmer Hughes, J. L. Pulsipher, John Bauer and Alfred Frehner. Mrs. Max Hafen was hostess to the Mesquite Literary club last Thursday afternoon. The program given used Washington and Lincoln's Lin-coln's birthdays as the theme. A dainty lunch was served to 13 members. For the past several days the ' men of the town have been fixing : up the side streets. The state 1 highway department has used their steam shovel and road ' grader and about six local trucks have hauled dirt from the bridge |
