Show Short Creek, Ariz. Mrs. Sarah L. Black Reporter School closed here the third week in April A program was given on April 18 by both schools. April 19 Mr. Cutler's grades gave a one-act play, "Robin Hood", followed with the graduation exercises exer-cises and a dance afterward. Music was furished by members of the Fredonia High school orchestra. Those who graduated from the eighth grade were: Marcia Covington, Coving-ton, Mae Johnson, Mae Barlow, Sarah Barlow, Ruth Cox and Sterling Black. On April 15 a social was given in the school house for Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Cutler. The evening was spent in dancing, playing games, a program and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Cutler and son, Dickie left on April 20 for San-for, San-for, Colo. Carl T. Olds has gone to work at the Glenn Johnson saw mill on Kaibab mountain. Orlin G. Colvin, who is teaching teach-ing school in Koosharem, Utah, was a visitor here Saturday. Mrs. Elizabeth Colvin has gone to Kanab for a few weeks visit. Warren and Leonard Black went to Fredonia Saturday to see about the W.P.A. work. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fish have gone to Veyo where Mr. Fish has work at a mine. |
