Show Full Day Planned For Hurricane Hi Girls' Day HURRICANE, Utah Girls' Day at Hurricane high school will get underway Friday, May 6, at 9 a.m. with the first posture parade ever to be held at Hurricane announced announced Miss Laura Banner physical education instructor at at the local school. Three groups of girls numbering 35 girls to each unit from the home school and 35 girls from the high school at Cedar City, will participate. Events On ProgTam Events to be called at the Girls' Track Meet immediately after the parade, will consist of the following: 60 yard dash, 75 yard dash, high jump, broad jump, baseball distance throw, basketball distance throw, baseball target, relay for each grade and group participation in Softball. At. noon a free luncheon will be served 1o the girls. The Girls' Day assembly program pro-gram will commence at. 1:15 to !"' followed by a fashion show and mother's tea under the supervision of Miss Jean Kendall and her home-making department. Dance At Nitbt In the evening at 8:15 a dance review will be presented by the girls physical education department, depart-ment, under the direction of club president. La Mrtta Wood, assisted by Alta Hinton. vioe-prf sidont. The theme of the review is "A Complete Com-plete Pay's Activities". Types -f dancing to be demonstrated in-( elude creative, character. tap. adagio, plastic, folk, eccentric, acrobatic, ac-robatic, social and mood. At the conclusion of the review the annual an-nual Girls' Kay dance will begin. This year the firls are calling itj a "Gingham Ball". |
