Show M.I.A. Day Voted Big Success By Those Who Attended According to Mrs. Lorn a Worthen, stake president of the Y.L.M.I.A., and corroberated by many who attended, this year's M.I.A. Day was voted as being a grand success from many angles, especially in the young ladies department, de-partment, which held sessions throughout the day. At 10 a.m. the meeting opened in the recreation hall of the South ward chapel, a 100 per cent representation repre-sentation of the stake by wards was recorded, with a large group of Bee-Hive girls and their Keepers here to participate in the activities. Besides music numbers there was an exhibit of work done during the winter by Bee-Hive girls including quilting, a variety of other needle work and handcraft, hand-craft, as well as cakes and candies made for the exhibit. Following the meeting the girls entertained their mothers at a luncheon in the chapel basement, more than 200 attending. Present Plays At 2 p.m. the Junior girls held forth presenting three one-act plays as well as a musical program. These plays are from the annual (Continued on page four) Stake M.I.A. Day (Continued from first page) M.I.A. outline and those taking part were heartily applauded. At 5 p.m. the Junior girls with their mothers, numbering 100 were served refreshments. At 4 p.m. the young men held two Softball games on the public square. The South ward team beat the West ward 10-5 and the St. George CCC boys won from the Leeds unit, 6-4. The M.I.A. dance in the evening concluded the day's program with 45 couples representing every ward in the stake participating in the annual M.I.A. exhibition dance. During the evening awards were made for winners in the day's events. The prizes this year being copies of the M.I.A. song book, and since each ward came off with honors, there were a number of books presented to the officers for their respective associations. Appreciation is expressed by the i stake board for the cooperation given to the boys and girls for their participation and to E.
