Miss Julia Foster entertained a number of friends at her home last Thursday night. A real good time was had. Miss Laura Barnhurst returned last Saturday from La Verkin, where she spent a few days visiting relatives rela-tives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruesch of Springdale have spent the past week here from Springdale. Mr. Ruesch for medical treatment. The Wolf patrol of troop 2, E. W. boy scouts, performed a good turn on Thanksgiving day by chopping wood for the widows of the ward. Mrs. Lamond Stratton and baby and Mrs. Ella Lund came in Saturday Satur-day from Hurricane to spend several sever-al days visiting relatives and friends.' The month old baby of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Lyle died late Tuesday night of pneumonia after an illness of a few days-.- The parents have the sympathy of the community. Beneficial rains the fore part of the week combined with warm weather has started sacartie and other oth-er grasses growing on the ranges. Stockmen and farmers are rejoicing. The local American Legion is carrying car-rying on a competitive drive for membership. mem-bership. The losing side will give a party during Christmas holidays. William Empey and Calvin Dalton are choosing sides. At a meeting of the American Legion Leg-ion held December 5, the following officers were elected: Bryan J. Lund, commander, Calvin Dalton, vice-commander, William Empey, vice-commander, Kenneth Cannon, adjustant. Mr. and Mrs. Rupert A. Tegan left this morning for their home at Filer, Idaho, with the body of their 19-months 19-months old son, Paul, who died Tuesday Tues-day morning of pneumonia at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius C.
