Show INTEREST SHOWN IN FINE ART WORK Large Attendance at Meeting at Dixie College Last Friday. A meeting was held Friday at the Dixie College for those interested in-terested in organizing a fine arts club. There was a large attendance, attend-ance, and though it was decided to postpone organization, A. K. Hafen was appointed chairman of a central committee consisting of Wtti. T. Morris, Jr., Mrs. Alma McGregor, and Mrs. Roxey Rom-ney, Rom-ney, who will draw up a tentative constitution and attempt to stimulate stim-ulate further interest in the work of the proposed club. Prof. E. M. Jensen of the B. Y. U. will conduct a series of six lectures in fine art and an exhibit of paintings of the master mas-ter artists of Utah and a collection collec-tion of fifty paintings from the Colonial Arts institution will be conducted during Leadership week. The collection of paintings contributed con-tributed To the college each year by the graduating class form the nucleus of an art gallery which the promoters of this fine arts organization hope will be one of the finest in Utah. |
