Show VEYO Veyo, Nov. 9. Asel, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones, had a very serious accident last Thursday evening. While putting wood in the stove he ran a splinter under the eye lid, scraping the eye ball. It has caused an ulcer to form over the pupil of the eye and is very painful. He is under the care of a doctor and every effort is being made to save the eye sight. Mr. and Mrs. James L. Bunker returned re-turned from Salt Lake City last Monday Mon-day where they had been to be with their son, Elder James R. Bunker, during an operation. They report he is getting along fine and will be home this week to stay a short time before returning to finish his mission. Philip Foremaster and Miss Linna Snow of the Stake M. I. A. met with our ward Mutual Sunday evening. Nov. 8th. We very much appreciate having our Stake officers meet with us and hope they will come often. The Primary association gave a very fine program last Tuesday evening. even-ing. After the program dancing was indulged in for a short time. Maud, Gardner and Reid Heywood and Thomas Hunt spent the week end home on a visit from the Dixie college. The Y. M. and Y. L. M. I. A. gave a party Saturday night which was a success both socially and financially. Miss Lillian Jones of Gunlock has been engaged to assist Miss Edith Knight in our school. Mrs. Benjamin Chadburn is very ill with heart trouble and other ailments. ail-ments. Mrs. Lem S. Leavitt has gone to St. "eorge for medical treatment. Mr. Neilson of Gunlock is in town, building for Milton Bowler. |
