WASHINGTON Washington, Oct. 7. Alex Thayne was operated on Tuesday for the removal re-moval of a cataract on his eye. He is reported to be getting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Kelley of Wells, Nev., are here visiting with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gould. Mrs. Martha Alexander has-re-turned from Cedar where she spent the summer. Miss Ruth Sorenson of St. George was visiting relatives here Saturday and Sunday. Levi Neilson left Friday for Cedar after spending the week here with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Lafell Iverson spent Saturday and Sunday here from La Verkin. W. O. Nisson and Eldon Larson spent the week end here from Hurricane. Hurri-cane. Frank Staheli, Mrs. John Tanner, Elise Twiner spent Sunday in Cedar. Mr. and Mrs. Art Paxman of St. George spent Sunday here. Bp. and Mrs. Calvin Hall left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Salt Lake City. Mrs. Bert Dewey of California is here to spend the winter. Mrs. Minnie Paxman spent last week in St. George. Elmer Sandberg left Monday for Cedar City. Mrs. Alex Thayne is visiting in St. George.
