Show LEEDS Leeds, March 8. A farewell party was given in the ward meeting house Friday evening for Stanley Fuller, u-ho will leave Salt Lake today for the Central States mission. A large crowd of relatives and friends were out, many coming from Cedar City, Hurricane, St. George and Santa Clara. A short program was given and the remainder of the evening was soent in dancing to the splendid music furnished by the Dixie college. Lunch was sold and a nice sum raised, which was presented to Stanly Stan-ly He has a host of friends here that wish him success in his mission. Delias Sullivan underwent an operation op-eration for ruptured appendix at Salt Lake City Feb. 2 6. Last news received here by his parents he was recovering nicely. Mrs. Evylene McMullin entertained entertain-ed the Blue Bird- girls Saturday at her home in Silver Reef. The afternoon after-noon was spent in sewing and enjoying enjoy-ing refreshments. Wednesday, the Hurricane junior high school B. B. team played our team here. The score was 12-10 in favor of our boys. Mervin Hartman came down from Bingham Canyon last week for a short visit here with his parents. Mrs. William Hartman and sons, Arvil and Clive were St. George visitors visit-ors Monday. Mrs. Thomas Sterling is spending the week in St. George with her children. William Nicholls and son Jack were visiting here Friday from Cedar City. Miss Edna Kelson of St. George was visiting here with her sister Monday. William Hartman spent the week end home from Littlefield, Arizona. Edward and Willard McMullin were Sunday visitors at Hurricane. Claus C. Anderson is in the hospital hos-pital at St. George for treatment. LeVon McQuaide spent Sunday here from St. George. |
