Show ENTERPRISE Mrs. S. W. Peterson Passes Enterprise, Oct. 17. Mary Elizabeth Peterson departed this life at her home Tuesday morning about 2 a. m. ; Funeral services were held in the ward hall Tuesday at 3 p. m. The speakers were Bart C. Farnsworth, Amos Holt, Geo. A. Holt and William Lund; all spoke of her patient suffering and her spirit of good cheer. She was born March 5, 1386, at Panaca, Nev., daughter daugh-ter of Joseph and Emma Davis. She has one brother, William Davis, who is living. She was married to Samuel Peterson on the 7th of March, 1903. Three sons and one daughter were born to her, all of whom survive. Her husband and children were with her at the time of death. They are a very devoted family and all was done for her that could possibly be done. She had been a constant sufferer for 21 years, but she bore up under her afflictions and always had a smile for every one and always made people welcome to her home. Monday night a wedding dance was given in the ward hall in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Truman. Ice Sream and cake was served. They received many nice presents and a good time was had. Friday night a wedding dance was given in Ivor Clove's hall in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Robinson. Lunch was served and there was a very good turnout. Many beautiful presents were given the newly married couple. Mrs. Lewis Bastian is on the sick list at her home here. Her many friends wish for her speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Adams, Miss Eva Adams and their cousin, all of Parowan, attended the wedding party of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Truman. The school teachers all went to the institute at St. George this week end They stopped at Veyo and had a swimming party after which lunch was served. |
