New. met s: his j hor.-.e there in honor of his 7S:h ! birth anniversary. Fourteen of his sixteen living children were present pres-ent in addition to their husbands, wives, and children. Two sons Marion Earl, chief of police or the national eapitol grounds at Washington. D. C. and Rulon o! Las Vegas were absent. The sons and daughters who attended at-tended the celebration were Mrs. Willard Jones. Overton: Mrs, Frank Cox. St. George; Mrs. Merlin Hardy. Har-dy. Las Vegas: Kenneth Earl. Bunkervilie; Mrs. Ella Carruth. Evanston. Wyo.; Mrs. Wrn. Wiit-wer. Wiit-wer. Bunkervilie, and Mi-s. Nettie Leavitt. Milton Earl. Mrs. Jack Lewis. Mrs. Robert Weils and Donald Don-ald Earl of Overton. Miss Amy, teacher in the Las Vegas school, and Nellie, teacher at Pioche. Mr. Earl was born in Salt Lake City and when a young boy moved to Pine Valley. From there he removed re-moved to Bunkervilie and later to Overton where he has resided the last 18 years. After moving to Bunkervilie he was appointed bishop of that community. In Overton Ov-erton he became a member of the Moapa high council and was later ordained a patriarch in the L. D. S. church. He is a veteran of the Indian war and a pioneer of southern south-ern Utah and Nevada. He has always been active hi church and community affairs, and his family have all been social so-cial and civic workers. Most of his children have taught school, and Mrs. Merlin Hardy is a graduate nurse. Willard Jones is president of the Moapa stake, and Mrs. Jones stake president of the Relief Society. So-ciety. Frank Cox is a member of the St. George West ward bish opric, and Mrs. Cox is a member : of the St. George stake Relief So-, So-, cie ty. Ira Earl was formerly bish-' bish-' op cf the Las Vegas ward.
